- Hosts: Name, email address, phone number, business name, property addresses, property photos, bank account information (via Stripe), and brand settings.
- Guests: Name, email address, phone number, booking details, payment information (via Stripe), and review content.
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, browser type, device information
- Pages visited, time spent, referral source
- Cookies for authentication (session tokens)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Platform
- To process bookings and payments
- To send booking confirmations, check-in instructions, and other transactional emails
- To display Host listings and reviews to Guests
- To respond to your inquiries and support requests
- To detect and prevent fraud, fake bookings, and abuse
- To improve the Platform through analytics (Google Analytics)

4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Between Hosts and Guests: When a Guest books a property, the Host receives the Guest’s name, email, phone, and booking details. The Guest sees the Host’s name, property details, and contact information.
- Payment processors: Stripe processes all payments and receives necessary financial information under their own privacy policy.
- Email services: Resend delivers transactional emails on our behalf.
- Analytics: Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in AWS (Amazon Web Services) in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and secure API authentication (JWT).
Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. Photos are stored in Amazon S3 with access controls.
6. Cookies
We use the following cookies:
- myaistays-auth: Authentication session token (essential, expires on browser close)
- Google Analytics (_ga, _gid): Anonymous usage analytics (optional)
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Data Retention

The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and share, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
